Criminal Law

 
  • Felony and misdemeanor defense

  • Post Conviction -(Clean up your record) Motions - Penal Code Section 1203.4 motions (otherwise known as expungement motions), Seal and Destroy Motions, Certificate of Rehabilitation and Pardons

  • Addiction treatment, PTSD, Mental health and other alternative sentencing courts These courts provide an opportunity for clients to obtain treatment instead of going to jail which gives them a second chance at life and allows clients to completely turn their life around. Drug Court, Mental Health Courts, Veterans Treatment Court and Military Diversion are all options today for clients, that have not always been available in the justice system

    • Drug Court Program-addiction is the underlying cause for many clients and this court is treatment based for that exact purpose.

    • Military Diversion-Penal Code Section 1001.80 provides treatment instead of jail, for all active and veteran military who have a documented service related injury (substance abuse, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and more) and are charged with a misdemeanor. Clients are able to receive treatment and ultimately obtain a full dismissal and have the option to pursue a Seal and Destroy motion to remove the crime completely from their rap sheet.

    • Veterans Treatment Court-Allows US Military Veterans charged with felony charges ( and misdemeanors as well), the ability to receive treatment instead of jail for any underlying mental health or addiction related issues and have their case dismissed.

    • Mental Health Courts - These courts offer clients who suffer from mental health related issues to receive treatment for their mental health diagnosis and become self sustaining and productive members of society


Family Law

 
  • Often times a client finds themselves involved in a family law related matter as the result of a criminal arrest or charge. Having one attorney handled both has tremendous benefits for the client.
